Roger Dellar’s demonstration
Brian Wilson was the subject of Roger’s portrait, and proved to be a most able model. The colour scheme was influenced by the warmth of the background curtains, with Brian’s blue shirt providing good contrast. It was fascinating watching the features emerge from the loose framework of marks, and the finished portrait was admired by everyone.

Mastering the Arts - my 15 minutes of fame
Notorious forger John Myatt was the subject of a ten-week series on Sky Arts, where each week he attampted to teach three artists the skills needed to forge a Great Master painting. Christine Hopkins was chosen to take part in the series, and to her horror discovered she would appear in the episode devoted to Renoir nudes, a subject far removed from her normal painting style. The programme was filmed on location in the Great Hall of Dulwich College and was broadcast on Boxing day 2007. Other programmes in the series include Hockney, Singer Sargent, Monet and Cezanne.
