Drawing and painting has always been an important part of my career. After finishing a course in graphic design and illustration at Epsom School of Art, and a brief period in advertising and as a book designer, I worked for over twenty five years as an illustrator of children’s books and chinaware for Penguin Books And Royal Doulton.
In the year 2000, following a course at Scola ten years earlier my career took a different direction when I became a designer and maker of stained glass windows and decorative leaded lights. My particular interest was in employing traditional glass painting techniques using paint, stain, But and enamels to make figurative panels of birds, fish and flowers, amongst other subjects.
Having largely given up my glass work I now spend most of my time drawing and painting.
